Vote on advance polling days at your ASSIGNED polling station
They run from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on:
- Friday, April 18
- Saturday, April 19
- Sunday, April 20, or
- Monday, April 21
The rules for voting on advance polling days in the federal election differ from those of some provincial elections, where you can vote at any advance voting place in the province. You cannot do the same in the federal election. If you choose to vote during advance polling days, you must vote at your assigned polling station. To find your advance polling station, check your voter information card or use the Voter Information Service. [same links as above]
Yeah. We bailed as we’re still nervous about lines and groups (#covid) and we’ll go back when it’s quieter.
I do not remember a queue like this ever before. Everyone must’ve had the same idea. Unless turn-out is insane - and this election was held against a very unsettling backdrop so, maybe - were hoping it’ll be quieter later.
Um, what?
COVID hasn’t gone away, and immunocompromised people can still die from it (or regular flu).
Although for people with regular immune systems, COVID seems no worse than the regular flu now; just in time for H5N1 and a measles mutation.
Please go vote. It’s imperative that everyone vote in this election.
It was Good Friday (stat. holiday) so I think a number of people figured this was the best day to go.
Yeah, from what I hear in my area, everyone went yesterday morning but it quieted down in the afternoon and evening
