I’ve previously seen people describe dating a person with ADHD as “Microdosing Wikipedia” and I thought that was a fun idea so I figured I would make a community dedicated to that specifically.

The idea is to post either random or interesting articles you find on any wiki (Doesn’t actually have to be wikipedia so a games/fandoms wiki would also be included) and people can discuss the content or the subject of the article.

It’s just a small space for people to learn about stuff that they have no reason to learn about otherwise.

Honestly I think it’s perfectly fine and I don’t think it makes you more/less neurotypical at all. I just think there’s different folks and they like different strokes, y’know?

I’m not coming at it from “hating” small talk, everything is so insanely intense these days, whenever I talk about anything critically people assume I “hate” it, but I don’t, I’m actually just curious about it. I think it would be cool if I could learn to appreciate small talk for instance, but for that I’d need to actually understand what it’s about. But I suppose it’s just not for me because I just don’t really have those thoughts like “nice day today” and such.

I suppose I’m coming from being 12 and seeing very reposted images with text about “I hate small talk, can’t we talk about something meaningful” on tumblr and Instagram, and from when I did still follow ADHD and autism communities on the internet, and when I browsed Reddit in general, and saw rants about small talk… used to seeing the word “hate” in conjunction with it. Sorry.

I also agree, different strokes for different folks :) It’s okay to not enjoy small talk, and it is also okay for me to enjoy it.
