    “The University of Minnesota graduate student detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has been identified as Doğukan Günaydin, a 28-year-old Turkish national studying business at the Carlson School of Management. Günaydin was apprehended outside his St. Paul residence by plainclothes ICE officers on March 28, 2025. His detention stemmed from a visa cancellation related to a 2023 DUI case, according to the Department of Homeland Security, which clarified that the arrest was not connected to student protests or activism”
