[ ] (yourlinkhere) Just remove the spaces, like this - Your browser does not support playing HTML5 video. You can download a copy of the video file instead.

Oh, that’s interesting that it embedded the video. I’ve never seen an embedded video on Lemmy before.
For me if you add an exclamation mark first it will embed videos or images so use:
! [ ] (yourlinkhere)
Just remove the spaces, like this -
