Basically, I was permabanned from reddit. I tried contacting a historian from the r/askhistorians sub (for a personal project of mine at the time) and when I contacted the mods and briefly mentioned this, I was then permabanned from the sub and then from the site as a whole. Yes, I acknowledge how inappropriate that was, but at the time I didn’t know that, since I’m the type to only really skim through the rules of a sub. I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to give up on Lemmy completely, but I miss reddit.

Any advice on what to do here would be great, thanks.

Ban evasion is a bannable offense itself and that’s been the case on almost every online community since the internet existed. Why on earth would you tell a mod that you’ve been banned before??

Because I HADN’T been banned from that sub (or any) before that point? I was merely asking for some advice from the mods but that only made things worse. I don’t know if there’s anyone here that can get me back into reddit (even if it costs money) but I’m willing to try.

Just spend more time here. The transition isn’t as hard as you would think.

Heads up, you have your account flagged as a bot account. You probably want to switch that off in your account settings.
