The 4 weeks of wait for posting pics shouldn’t be valid for profile pics BTW.
Could you upload an example image which does not work somewhere else and share it with me so I can try to reproduce the issue?

It’s pretty much just what /u/irelephant posted here. There’s very little actual info present, just an HTTP status of 500 with a boilerplate nginx response page.
When it inevitably starts happening again, I’ll be sure and take some captures of the full request/response details.

Funnily enough, I was able to upload this, so @[email protected] it seems to just affect posts.
If I refresh right after a failed upload, my profile picture shows a broken image.So this is an instance issue? I use Lemmy primarily through Boost on my phone and have never been able to upload an image directly. Same error as the OP, only I also get a 403 error.
Pretty sure it’s specific to lemm.ee, yeah, since my fallback when it’s not working here is to just hop to lemmy.world.
