It’ll be interesting too as federations are a bit of a wild-west right now with some domains dropping off or being federated, while others may still be created in the future

Honest question: what warrant are they operating under? These guys won’t even produce ID when asked so I doubt they’ve got paperwork
Also wondering what happens if there next goon squad is all ventilated.
“Oh yeah, I saw an attempted kidnapping and then somebody shot the kidnappers. Victim and the shooter ran away. Guy was wearing a hoodie. No idea who they were”
Watching their recent coverage of LA and NY I was kinda astounded by the slant on it.
That sounds kinda cool. I’ll have to check it out. It’s kinda hard sometimes to push FOSS stuff in a largercorporate environment but this looks like something I could recommend/build for small-mid private SOHO clients.
We’ve had the same thing with politicians in Canada. It’s gone from “he’s an asshole” to “but he’s OUR asshole”.
I think congratulation politicians - whether you live them or not - when they do good things is well warranted. Keep in mind that while many couldn’t give a shit about you or I, they DO like ego-stroking and attention so positive reinforcement can actually work well.
Honestly I’d rather less of him being f’ed by the bear and more demonstrating how he’s fucking the country while calling it patriotism
No, the “well they’re both corrupt/bad so fuck it” without acknowledging that bad/corrupt is a scale not a binary is how we got here.
Used to run OpenVPN. Tried Wireguard and the performance was much better, although lacking some of the features some might need/want fit credential-based logins etc
I didn’t really get the allure of it TBH. For most home-based nerds a simple Wireguard host (or OpnSense, OpenWRT etc running such) should be fine, and there are better options for commercial from better-known vendors in the network security space
Realistically though, if you’re not a f***ing moron and don’t have a criminal record, it’s not hard to get your PAL and the ability to have long-guns. It’s a day-course.
The RPAL is a bit more work and more restrictions in terms of transport etc, but it’s not necessary for most people that would just want to go hunting or target shooting (except target shoots with handguns).
IMO - as somebody who has a PAL - the rules around responsible ownership in Canada are pretty reasonable. Some of the recent stuff over particular firearms is dumb especially with the lacklustre enforcement against trafficking etc, but stuff around safe storage and use 100% makes sense to me whereas the “public carry” stuff in the US is kinda horrifying to me.
Honestly other than a fingerprint lock, I’ve found the apps suck compared to just a browser on a PC anyhow. Half the apps could just be webpages, and a bunch of those are just wrappers to a web rendering layer anyhow
In Texas, no you don’t
So people with more money than you don’t have to?
This was me when I had Norovirus, though the puking was preceded by firehose-level shits until I took an Imodium, after which it switched ends before deciding on some rather unpleasant alternating events
I can actually believe that the two would get in a fight about who gets to fuck us in which end. Their narcissistic personalities are kinda exclusive and I’m surprised they’ve gotten along so far. Even in the earlier days Trump didn’t look like he enjoyed sharing the limelight
“someone”
I think we can make a good guess as to who that might have been
Precedent would be a pretty big downside
If that’s the case, I’m still hoping for clear skies with a well-placed lightning bolt
