OK, thanks for the heads-up.
Most of us here know that, but many others beyond the Fediverse are still not convinced. Video documentation and expert testimony of horrible crimes is often effective in changing public opinion.
Yes, it did change. But I still think that your concern is misplaced and that the Guardian’s error came nowhere close to misinformation.
I should have mentioned the most important factor was the heroic struggle and sacrifice of the Vietnamese people, which did inflict many casualties on the US.
But the massive demonstrations in the US and around the world helped change the consciousness of millions, which ultimately even affected the thinking of the troops fighting in Vietnam. Many times the representatives of the NLF and DRV recognized the vital role of the US antiwar movement.
Unfortunately, both the USSR and China did not do much to help Vietnam, and Nixon was able to play them off pretty well.
Massive and sustained peaceful protests often do work, as they did against the US war in Vietnam. I can’t imagine how confronting local Zionists would do anything to help Palestine be free.
Totally wasted sarcasm.
Right here. Biden’s policies greatly strengthened Israel and directly helped the genocide.
Is Trump worse? I think yes. But that is still no reason to gloat or to think that endlessly supporting the lesser evil is going to produce any real changes that the world needs.
I really didn’t consider it a support question since it isn’t a problem with Lemmy, but with another website. But apparently that’s not the consensus here.
Many opposed Harris because she continued very active support to the Israeli genocide. Very few believed Trump would be better.
Yeah, he was so much better than Trump. /s
Blame Biden-Harris and the Democrats, not the Palestinians.
Yes, but there is also an archive version posted.
Yes, they are a marketing technique, but I don’t know of any other legal way to share them. Please give me any ideas you may have. Thanks.

Yes, and it is very positive that prominent human rights groups agree and document it. These reports can be used to pressure governments, universities, etc. to divest from Israel and to stop sending arms, software, etc. to Israel.
The main point that I “got” is that you like to rant using lots of capital letters. (And I know that it is genocide, but understanding that is not absolutely necessary to act in favor of Palestine. Look at Bernie Sanders - he is a very critical, liberal Zionist, yet his actions in the Senate and his speeches have helped, not hurt, the Palestinian cause, in spite of his refusal to call it genocide.)
I agree that posting this without any clarifying critical comments was a mistake. But I still think it was worth posting for the reasons I stated in another post.
I’m pretty sure that you can click by that and still read the full article.
