  • Few things:

    • What is the output wattage of your charger? You need something that can keep up with the output of the battery, so Id guess 85W or higher while gaming or under heavy util.
    • ensure your CPU governor didn’t get locked to ‘performance’ mode after gaming. Make sure you have power-profiles-daemon or similar installed to switch profiles.
    • run the reset process for the battery from Framework. You may just have. Battery that crapped out.

  • There is no such thing as “distro agnostic” when you’re describing the thing that makes a distribution what it is. That’s like saying “I’m trying to make a package manager that integrates with all other package managers”.

Why would you do that when they already have working package managers?

What you’re actually describing in sharing layers and state changes is not possible the way you want, at least not with generic systems. In order to share a layer that is applicable to another system, you’d have to ensure that every single piece of that system is exactly the same, from the BIOS up. Think phones getting updates, as that’s very similar.

  • Recommended specifications from developers are highly subjective, so it would be kind of pointless to really create a database of what “works” because it’s different for who is writing the reviews/reports. If there was a database of what was reported solely from the developer, I guess you’d at least know what it was tested on for the best experience, but that doesn’t mean someone else would rather just get it to play on the lowest settings and experience just to have it work.
