Even without the Nazi in charge, Tesla has poor quality control. They wanted to put the biggest monitor ever in a vehicle so they chose non-automotive grade that yellows. They designed a trunk that leaks water because it never rains or something. They designed doors such that if you slam the door hard, the door card falls off. They designed a pedal and trim such that the pedal could get stuck under trim and cause unintentional acceleration. They designed a truck using an aluminum frame instead of steel. Oh and then they chose a grade of stainless steel that has more issues than the delorean. Oh, and they took out lidar sensors and somehow still think they’ll achieve level 5 self driving. Anything safety critical needs a redundancy.

I too believe in centrism, so long as the parties are on equal footing and we apply ethics.

If the one side isn’t operating in good faith, and keeps shifting their view more and more extreme, the other side also needs to shift more and more extreme so that the compromise still ends up in the theoretical middle.

I think any popular Debian/redhat derived distro (mint counts) is a great introduction to Linux.

However, I didn’t really learn Linux until I installed arch. It wasn’t as… stable… as it was now. And learning how to deal with the instability helped a LOT.

Without that dive, things that could really get you down the path is trying to make Linux work for you: change the gui to your liking, and learn to use terminal.

That gets you into X/sway/DM/WM/etc. there’s plenty to learn there
