Absolutely same. This was just on and I’d never seen it before.

Before things like the XPS printer showed up, if there was only one printer anyway, it was the default. Pointless.
Literally helped my parents with this last night.
Also, fuck windows for defaulting a setting I’d never seen before: “let windows manage my default printer”
That’s why it wasn’t printing. What a fucking stupid idea.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's something you've done that you're proud of?
9·1 month agoI guess I’m proud of the fact that I’ve been taking Microsoft certification exams since 2007 and literally passed each one on the first try. Literally none of my friends / colleagues have done this.
Not sure what that says about the exams, but shrug
Also proud that I took $2,500 in June, invested it in options, got it to $6,400 in September and withdrew the original $2,500. Now I’m working with House money. I did take a $364 loss this week, but I’m still at $5,500. My attitude and perspective have changed. I don’t react emotionally anymore or make revenge trades that end up blowing up in my face even more like I used to.
As a man with 2 Audi vehicles…and ADHD….how dare you!

I remember the announcement of Windows Recall being the final nail in the coffin for me. I’ve been using both for years, but windows was my daily forever. With Win10 support ending, and my “old” machine still chugging along, I’d planned on using Win11 with a modified ISO to get around the TPM requirement. I’d been toying with the idea of going Linux as my daily, but once Recall was announced, that decision was basically made for me.
None that I’m presently aware of.
Although as a young kid, I used to claim to have bee allergy, as I simply thought anything I didn’t like would make it an “allergy.”
I cannot adequately convey how much I identify with this. I love it.
