It’s quite common to use IIII instead of IV on clocks.
Yep. It may even be the dominantly used version of the roman 4 on clocks.
Im sure its because IV and VI are probably tricky to distinguish when they are upside down

Nothing wrong with it. IIII was and is used as number 4 on clocks.
