    I notice this isn’t a proper cross-post. If it were, this it would not just link to the original post, but on clients that support displaying cross-post details, there would be a link that appears on the original posts showing where it has gotten cross-posted to.

    That is beneficial as it can lead to people finding their way to new communities in both directions.

    Here’s an example of what that looks like in Thunder, with one of my posts which I later cross-posted:

      I actually just did a cross-post of this before checking if it got already posted here. Deleted that one, but yeah, wouldn’t have had to if cross-post functionality had been used, its a nifty feature!
