Google has a history of extending repairs for Pixel phones. I don’t know it is a good thing or bad.
Pixel 4 XL power and charging issues: https://www.xda-developers.com/google-extends-pixel-4-xl-warranty-by-1-year-for-power-and-charging-issues/
Pixel 5a power and charging issues: https://support.google.com/pixelphone/answer/11833075?hl=en
How could it be a bad thing?
Good thing - Google is willing to support devices with defects/design flaws
Bad thing - Google keeps releasing devices with defects/design flaws
Adding to what I said…
Back in 2012, I had the very first Google Nexus Tablet called the Nexus 7. It became extremely slow after a few months that it was unusable. Turned out it was a widespread issue. It was a design flaw that could not be fixed via software update:

Two decades later, Google still release defective hardware without proper testing during the design phase.
If my pixel 8 gets any of that shit, I’m getting a different phone. This thing is a god damn joke.
