    Even if the bottom wasn’t a celebration it’s the same outcome. I’ve been saying forever already that screaming and crying at a building, holding a sign, and then going home accomplishes absolutely nothing. It may be a way to show people that they’re not alone in their disgust, but it can’t be the only thing we do over and over and over and over…

    We need to be starting fires, being a nuisance, and actually causing trouble for anyone to actually be moved to change.

      Demonstrations do work, maybe not in the way you think the demonstrators want it to work out, but they surly give attention to a problem.

      And it is not only internal, it is important to constantly show the world, the e.g. not all Americans are fascists (by demonstrating against trump) etc.

      If no one demonstrates, the rest of the world thinks, that the whole population of that country agrees with its government.

    God, this is disgusting. For fucks sake, is it really that hard to just put a tiny bit of effort in your meme? Like, finding pictures and typing text yourself. That can’t be hard. This AI-generated slop is awful. I don’t even know why it’s allowed on here.

    Also, and this is more political and I hate to say it, but a reminder that we, the French, lost this battle. We are often idealized, but we’ve been losing every fight we’ve been leading for years now. Last time we had this massive wave of protest like that, it kind of killed most social movements here. We are very much struggling to do anything nowadays because we put up this massive fight and we lost, nothing happened in our favor. We got nothing. Not even a small concession. Nothing. Things just get worse.

    Our way might be better, but I don’t think it’s good. I don’t want to be a doomer telling you that nothing is worth it. No. But I don’t think this is it. I don’t think this is the way to do it. I wish I could have a solution to give. Meanwhile, all I can recommend is, organize locally, as best as you can. Protect your local community. And stop making AI slop. Please, for the love of everything.
