Streaming service formerly known as HBO Max is changing its name to HBO Max.

In elementary, i had a friend named Torrance who hated the name Torrance. So, for third grade, he used his middle name, James. Didn’t like it. Fourth grade, he went with just Tor. In fifth grade, we just mashed up a bunch of random names and called him DylTorPeteBobJames. This feels the same: HBOGoNowMaxBobJames

Now I’m waiting for them to rebrand as Home Box Office.

It amazes me how little executives at these large companies understand about branding.

You had one of the most recognizable names in entertainment and fucked it up.

And the shitty streaming platform you build doesn’t help.

I’ve always just called it HBO.
