      I know several of the bands are legit. I enjoy some GUNSHIP, especially because their music videos are excellent. Timecop1983 is well worth listening to. Mac Quail is on there, he did the soundtrack for Mr. Robot. Vangelis is on there, famous for the soundtrack to at least Bladerunner.

      There are more that I recognize as good artists, too.

      I recognize a lot of legit artists. A lot I don’t know too.

      I however have issues with this playlist. John Carpenter, Tangerine Dream or Vangelis are not synthwave but OG 80’ music that inspired synthwave, and this playlist lacks very important, genre-defining artists like Carpenter Brut or Perturbator.
